Hi,

It's been a week since i came back to my blog.

Been a busy week at Work and rushing for my assignments at the same time.
Finally get to go back to my Malaysia home for the weekend, had a good rest and hate to come back for the busy and boring matters.

When 6 months internship period was so bored and hard to pull through... :(
It's been almost four months since i started my internship, but the things that i have done up till now, can be compared to be a one to two months work load for the other staff.
Thought that i could be learning more than these when i am going through for my internship.
But i guess, i was wrong...

Why do interns have to be treated differently?
Is there a need for that?

Yes, interns might be cheap labour, they only work for short period of time, but afterall they are out to the working environment to learn something and gain more knowledge on what they are learning in school.
Some people might have working experience before and some might not.
Student have to struggle through those hard period as a training before they "officially" enter into the social world.

Most of the company misuse/mistreat the interns.
Such as, asking them to do things for them that are not related to work; Asking them to work overtime (Which they are not suppose to); Ordering them around the workplace.
Not giving them proper task and some interns might go back to school learning nothing much.
Not giving them much learning opportunities.
Whenever they can push any blames, they will push it towards the Interns as "it is much easier"...

Yes, when someone is at fault you need to tell them. But someone doesn't means just one person themself should be scolded or lectured by the boss or supervisor.

For example,
There was mistakes done at work and three person was at fault.
One person is a Manager,
One person is a Full Timer,
One person is a Intern.
Is the boss suppose to be talking and advicing three person on the mistakes done at work?
OR
Should the boss be only accusing and lecturing the Intern on the mistakes done at work?

It's not complaining, but the speaking of justice and fairness..
Everyone deserve to be treated fairly no matter in what terms, what situation and never the less, who you are.
Even when bosses made mistakes at work, the boss should also apologise too.
It's not the pride or ego that matters, but how you can make someone respect you for who you are.

Interns doesn't means that they are or should be the easy target.
Personal matters should be done on the person themself and not asking the interns to do it for them.
Such as, picking up accessories or helping to get the limited items on sales.
If you bosses want to get those items, please get it on your own during your own free time. Not making use of the interns to help you getting your own personal "wanted" items.
Helping your colleagues with their working task or to search for some information, but to found out that they already found the information themselves.
Not even a thank you was said or a sign of gratefulness was shown when we interns helped you with your work task.

Appreciate when someone helps you.
Like how you finally find a information that you needed badly, that's how hard others tried to find it for you too.
Be grateful when people fork out a little of their time for you, cause you will never know how that short little amount of time means so much for the other person.


Nevertheless, treat everyone nicely and be fair, be kind and teach them nicely.
Not everyone is born being good, everyone have to start from the buttom too isn't it?
Scold when needed to but not when wanting to.
Lecturing and punish when needed to, but not when you want to.
Control your temper and talk with the right tone.
A word with different tone can means many things.
